Motor assembly is under way.

We have been busy the last 6 months or so building a new combo that will make more power. The motor will be on the dyno soon and we will know just how much more! Big thank you to Ben Alameda at Ben Alameda Racing Engines. He is a true professional and been great to work with us on this project. If you need anything engine related he is your guy. Also big thank you to Mark Winchester of Winchester Metal Works. He laid down some of his art work on a few parts of this build. When it comes to welding there is no one who can lay it down better than him. Check out their facebook pages to see more.

Doing some freshen up work on the car.

With the car being for sale we want to make sure whom ever purchases the car has a fresh motor. We will be installing a new rotating assembly and doing some head work. The motor will make a significant amount more HP with the upgrades and going to a smaller CI to run the car at a lighter weight. All of which will make the car much more competitive. Who knows if the car does not sell before the season starts you might see us in the lanes….. You never know. Motor ready to go back in the car

Testing at Fontana went well.

We had the car at Fontana Speedway last weekend trying some different suspension set ups. The car is now dialed in and running great. We are loaded up and ready for SCSN 11 in Las Vegas next weekend. Can’t wait to get back to the track and run in the cool desert air, the cars always run fast at SCSN with the great conditions. This is the biggest race of the year and is always a lot of fun. If you are at the track come by for some Monster Energy drinks. 20151107_160225[1]

First race of the season is in the books.

The Nova qualified in the #3 spot this weekend and made it to the semi-finals. The      performance of the car was down a little bit with new motor. We will do some testing prior to the next race to try and figure out what needs to be adjusted to improve the car. It was a great weekend with everyone at the track. NMCA always puts on a great race and we are looking forward to the next race in June at Autoclub Raceway in Fontana CA. NMCA March 15 (3NMCA March 15 (1 NMCA march 15 (2

Getting ready for the 2015 season

With the season rapidly approaching the team is taking care of the regular off season maintenance. The motor and trans are getting a minor freshen up and will be ready in the next few weeks. The car has seen a few minor upgrades since the season ended. With the improvement in performance at the end of last year we are really looking to keep working at the tune up and see how fast this Nova can run.  This season should be really exciting and we are looking to make a run at the championship in 2015 with the number 7 on the car. We would like to thank our great sponsors that are returning for another season with team NFE. See you at the track and come by and say hi. Motor out
